The Constitution of Redland

Preamble

Adopted this day, in the Year 2025 A.D.

We, the people of Redland, united by a shared heritage and purpose, do hereby establish this Constitution to preserve, protect, and promote the unique cultural, historical, and biological legacy of the red-haired peoples of the world. In recognition of our minority status, the loss of ancestral identity, and the erosion of our cultural autonomy, we found this nation—not by conquest, but by conviction—to secure a future for our children, rooted in tradition, dignity, and peace.

Article I — Name and Purpose

  1. This nation shall be known as Redland, a sovereign cultural community established to serve and protect the red-haired peoples globally.
  2. Redland shall operate as a voluntary cultural state, with both physical and virtual presence, governed by democratic principles and bound by this Constitution.
  3. The primary purposes of Redland are: a. Cultural preservation of red-haired history, traditions, and Celtic-rooted customs; b. Genetic protection and ethical procreation among red-haired individuals to ensure survival of the MC1R gene; c. Establishment of intentional communities and settlements in regions suitable for cultural autonomy; d. Education and advocacy on behalf of red-haired people worldwide.

Article II — Citizenship

  1. Citizenship shall be extended only to individuals who meet the following criteria: a. Possess visible, natural red hair, either currently or in early life, as a defining and observable physical trait. b. Commit to upholding the principles of this Constitution and contributing to the society of Redland.
  2. Individuals who do not possess visible, natural red hair—regardless of ancestry, genetics, or parental heritage—shall not be eligible for citizenship or residency.
  3. Non-redheaded allies and supporters may be welcomed as visitors or guests, but shall not be permitted residency, citizenship, or political participation within Redland.
  4. This restriction is not intended to discriminate, but to preserve the unique genetic and cultural identity of Redland’s people and support the growth of the red-haired population.
  5. Dual citizenship with existing nation-states shall be permitted, provided the individual maintains visible red-haired heritage.

Article III — Governance

  1. Redland shall be governed by a Council of Elders and an elected Chancellor.
  2. The Council of Elders shall consist of seven individuals elected every five years from among the citizens.
  3. The Chancellor shall serve as the head of state, elected every four years by national vote, with the possibility of one re-election.
  4. All governance shall be executed through democratic deliberation, with a commitment to transparency, decentralization, and service to the common good.

Article IV — Language and Heritage

  1. The national languages of Redland shall be English, Gaelic (Scots or Irish), and Brythonic dialects.
  2. Citizens are encouraged to learn and preserve ancestral languages and oral traditions.
  3. National holidays shall honor key events in redhead and Celtic history.

Article V — Culture, Law, and Education

  1. Redland shall maintain a secular government that honors spiritual traditions native to Celtic and red-haired ancestry.
  2. Education shall be free and focused on: a. Redhead history and global persecution; b. Genetics, biology, and anthropology; c. Cultural practices including music, language, and storytelling.
  3. All laws shall be written in plain language and subject to public referendum when necessary.

Article VI — Land and Territory

  1. Redland shall claim no existing sovereign land without peaceful acquisition, leasing, or legal arrangement.
  2. Communal settlements, homesteads, and colonies may be established in accordance with local and international laws.
  3. The territory of Redland shall include any land held collectively under the Redland Trust.

Article VII — Defense and Security

  1. Redland shall maintain no standing army but reserves the right to establish local civil guards for protection of its settlements.
  2. The right to self-defense, individual liberty, and collective security is guaranteed to all citizens.
  3. Redland shall commit to non-aggression and peaceful coexistence with all other peoples and nations.

Article VIII — Symbolism and National Identity

  1. The official flag of Redland shall bear the tri-color of copper, forest green, and white.
  2. The national motto shall be: "From Flame We Rise."
  3. The national anthem shall be composed to reflect the solemn and proud heritage of our people.

Article IX — Amendments

  1. Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by citizen petition (10% of voting populace) or a two-thirds vote by the Council of Elders.
  2. All amendments must be ratified by a national vote requiring a two-thirds majority.
  3. No amendment shall alter or revoke the foundational principle that Redland is a sovereign community exclusively for those of red-haired genetic heritage. This clause is hereby declared immutable and permanent.

Article X — Ratification

This Constitution shall go into effect upon ratification by a founding congress of at least one hundred (100) eligible citizens.

In witness whereof, we affix our names to this founding document, with honor and solemnity, pledging our fidelity to Redland, to each other, and to the future of our people.

Signed and sealed this day, 2025.
